• Manage the Hydrogeology department , providing technical oversight, contract management, and operational support for mine water, dewatering, and site water management to ensure production targets are safely met.

• Planned and implemented mine dewatering and depressurization strategies, reducing water-related downtime by 15%, and ensuring uninterrupted mining operations.
• Planned and coordinated drilling and testing programs , resulting in the successful identification of key water sources and improved resource allocation for future mining projects.
• Contributed to the hydrogeology feasibility studies of planned mining projects, enabling informed decision-making and ensuring the alignment of water management with long-term mine development.

• Senior Technical Lead on a $10.2 million World Bank-funded project across 15 SADC countries, improving sustainable groundwater management and access in the region.
• Provide technical support to the Executive Director of the SADC-GMI and SADC Member States to coordinate and facilitate the design and implementation of programs in line with the strategic mandate of the SADC-GMI.
• Helped secure an additional $9 million in funding through successful negotiations with key international partners.

Senior project Hydrogeologist for the borehole's construction component of the project:

Sustainable Rural Water Infrastructure for Improved Health and Livelihood (SWRIHL) project. Construction of eighty-eight (88) boreholes in Rumphi District and One hundred and thirty-four (134) boreholes in Nkhotakota District.

• Sefofotse to Ditshosine Bulk water supply project, groundwater sources development.
• Sekhukhune District Municipality: SOUTH AFRICA (August 2015 – November 2015) Development of groundwater protocols to identify risk of groundwater pollution, Sekhukhune District Municipality, Limpopo province of South Africa. Groundwater risk mapping was conducted in a GIS environment.
• Responsible for mentoring and supervising junior staff (supervised a staff complement of four hydrogeologists).

Responsible for undertaking and managing all aspects of operational mine dewatering and water supply, major site investigation programs including water resource investigations; environmental impact assessments; and management of contractors and junior staff; supporting the Senior Hydrogeologist in developing and managing a solid water management team; leading the water management team during roster changes.

• Review the conceptual hydrogeology model , establishing a robust foundation for the development of the numerical groundwater model, improving the accuracy of future water management strategies.
• Serve as Project Coordinator for the construction of a numerical model for the active pits, collaborating with GHD (consultants from Australia) to develop a Visual MODFLOW model that enhances groundwater flow predictions and dewatering planning.
• Design and implement a mine dewatering program , ensuring dewatering targets are consistently achieved and integrating the numerical model as a critical tool for planning and optimizing dewatering operations.
• Oversee mine and port water supply operations , ensuring efficient water delivery from boreholes to the processing plant and mine camp, while planning for future mine expansions and projected growth in water demand to meet long-term operational needs.

• Open Pit Dewatering and Depressurization, Lumwana Copper Mine (LMC) Zambia (Barrick Gold). Responsible for designing a monitoring and dewatering wells installation program and supervision of drilling, in-pit seepage mapping, and development of a conceptual Hydrogeological model. Setting up of a groundwater database.

Projects undertaken:

• May 2010-September 2010, Mopipi North Wellfield expansion, Debswana-Orapa mine, developed a conceptual model for the Mopipi North Wellfield in Botswana.
• 2008-2010, Development of Wildlife Watering Points in the National Parks of Botswana, Kalahari Conservation Society (KCS).
  2009–2010, Expansion of the existing conceptual model of Sowa Mine, Sowa-Mine (Botswana Ash Private Limited),
  2008–2010, Bobonong Groundwater Investigation and Development, Department of Water Affairs-Botswana Government,
  2008–2009, development of a wellfield and Environmental Impact Assessment for a proposed Uranium Mine at Serule (Botswana), A-Cap Uranium Resources (PTY) Ltd.

• Responsibilities: Founding member of the Department of Environmental Sciences staff, responsible for developing and implementing the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences and Technology.
• Sat on a couple of university committees, notably international relations, and established research links, notably with the Environmental Management Agency of Zimbabwe, culminating in two peer-reviewed research articles.

• November 2015, GOAL Sierra Leone: Post-Ebola recovery - water supply at district health facilities. (With capacity building.)
• May 2015 Hydrogeological desk study to provide hydrogeological expertise with dry wells situation in western Kenya, HWB-UK/Action Contre la Faim (ACF) (PRO-BONO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES),
