  • Sefofotse to Ditshosine Bulk water supply project, groundwater sources development.
  • Sekhukhune District Municipality: SOUTH AFRICA (August 2015 – November 2015) Development of groundwater protocols to identify risk of groundwater pollution, Sekhukhune District Municipality, Limpopo province of South Africa. Groundwater risk mapping was conducted in a GIS environment.
  • Responsible for mentoring and supervising junior staff (supervised a staff complement of four hydrogeologists).

AFRICAN MINERALS LIMITED-TONKOLILI IRON ORE PROJECT SIERRA LEONE

Responsible for undertaking and managing all aspects of operational mine dewatering and water supply, major site investigation programs including water resource investigations; environmental impact assessments; and management of contractors and junior staff; supporting the Senior Hydrogeologist in developing and managing a solid water management team; leading the water management team during roster changes.


  • Review the conceptual hydrogeology model , establishing a robust foundation for the development of the numerical groundwater model, improving the accuracy of future water management strategies.
  • Serve as Project Coordinator for the construction of a numerical model for the active pits, collaborating with GHD (consultants from Australia) to develop a Visual MODFLOW model that enhances groundwater flow predictions and dewatering planning.
  • Design and implement a mine dewatering program , ensuring dewatering targets are consistently achieved and integrating the numerical model as a critical tool for planning and optimizing dewatering operations.
  • Oversee mine and port water supply operations , ensuring efficient water delivery from boreholes to the processing plant and mine camp, while planning for future mine expansions and projected growth in water demand to meet long-term operational needs.
